This pop-up technical session draws on the expertise of Ronald while he is in New Zealand.
Bringing more than 30 years of international horticultural experience, Ronald works with leading cherry producers across Europe, Australia, Chile, and beyond. His expertise spans canopy systems, tree physiology, nutrition, and production system optimisation delivering practical, high-impact insights for modern orchards.
On his previous visits to New Zealand, Ronald provided in-depth training on pruning techniques, canopy management, crop load and vigour balance across multiple training systems and rootstock effects on productivity.
This year, Ronald will focus on drivers of cherry fruit quality and profitability through optimising nutrients, crop load and irrigation. He will also provide global insights into emerging rootstock and new cherry selections.
