Around 25 growers attended yesterday's field walk at the Plant & Food Research orchard in Clyde.
During the warm afternoon the attendees had a good look at the FOPS research and the potential for increased yields for apricots and cherries.
Science group leader Jill Stanley presented their research to date and the future direction for the FOPS trial. Jill also shared some of the learnings form the work along the way including issues related to planting density.
Following the field walk growers enjoyed refreshments and the opportunity to chat with scientists and colleagues.
