Summerfruit growers, family members and managers are all encouraged to attend a SummerGreen meeting at Mt Erin Fruit Services this coming Tuesday 15th October, 9am to noon.
Summerfruit NZ's Richard Mills has organised a meeting focusing on the issues facing local growers following the recent hail event. There will be a variety of speakers from organisations that can offer support and advice.
Agenda will include:
Practical on orchard options - Jack Hughes, Fruition HB
Diseases post hail - Peter Wood, PFR Havelock North
Mental health - Lon Anderson, Rural Support Trust
Along with an informal discussion for growers to ask questions and share their experiences.
Time: 9am to midday

Location: Mt Erin Fruit Services Packhouse, 61 Longlands Road East, Hastings.
Health & safety – Mt Erin have requested that people attending take care when entering and exiting the packhouse.
Parking – there is plenty of parking available on the left-hand side of the entrance.
