Food residues survey programme

New Zealand Food Safety conducts an annual monitoring programme looking at safe and suitable food intended for sale in New Zealand’s domestic market. This programme is one of the ways New Zealand Food Safety monitors the agrichemical residues in produce in New Zealand. The produce tested in 2024/25 will include summerfruit.

The produce tested by this programme is randomly selected and purchased from distributors throughout New Zealand.
