A new research project aims to investigate barriers in adopting new growing systems, validate and refine the performance of the new growing system known as Future Orchard Planting Systems (FOPS), and support uptake of emerging technologies (more details are here). The project is funded by the Ministry for Primary Industries’ (MPI) Sustainable Food and Fibre Futures fund (SFF Futures) and industry.
Growers are asked to complete Plant & Food Research survey, link below. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and asks about your current orchard systems, any new systems you have planted, your views on new orchard systems and the factors that influence what crops and systems you invest in.
Plant & Food Research are particularly interested in hearing from those who make decisions on orchard systems for new plantings of apples, pears, cherries and apricots. They want a wide range of views, so growers of all orchard systems are encouraged to answer the survey.
Deadline has been extended to today 5pm, Wed 9 February.
You can submit your feedback via the survey link.
Your opinion won’t count if you don’t complete the survey, so get in now!
