Ministry for Primary Industries have added an updated 'phytosanitary decision-making chart' to their website’s Official Assurance Programmes page. The webpage can be found at – https://www.mpi.govt.nz/export/food/fruit-and-vegetables/official-assurance-programmes/.
The chart provides guidance on some of the decisions an inspector can make following the identification of a pest to their assessed ability level. To access the chart, click the plus sign next to ‘Summerfruit – competency guidelines for identifying common pests’ to expand the entry where the 'Summerfruit Phytosanitary decision making document' can be downloaded.
