Former chair of Summerfruit NZ, Tim Jones, has been recognised for his service with an award at the HortNZ conference on Thursday night.
The Industry Service Award is given to people who have provided long-standing and significant service to the New Zealand Horticulture Industry and Tim was one of three people to receive the recognition.
Tim served on the Board for 13 years, including six years as chair, and only stood down in June.
