Did you know financial support is now available to employers who hire and upskill advisers in the primary industry advisory sector?
The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) has launched the Careers Pathway Scheme and is seeking applications from host organisations.
The scheme aims to grow the diversity, skills and number of advisers working in the advisory sector able to support integrated farm planning.
It will provide employers with financial support and is designed to reduce the barriers associated with hiring new or trainee advisers.
What’s available?
- New and early career advisers - $22,500 per year (for up to three years) to help cover salary and training costs
- Experienced advisers – one-off contributions towards training costs to grow skills required for integrated farm planning.
More details, including a fact sheet, are available on the Careers Pathway Scheme website, or by emailing slu.team@mpi.govt.nz
