Plant & Food Research is hosting a growers’ field walk in Hawke’s Bay to provide an opportunity for growers, consultants, tech providers, and researchers to share their experience, and learn from each other about the Future Orchard Planting Systems (FOPS) growing system. All growers are welcome to attend.
Topics being covered will include:
- A chance to view fruit set and discuss commercial crop loading strategy in planar cordon apple plantings
- Demonstration of Green Atlas scanning technology to assist precision crop loading (Fruition Horticulture).
- Update on orchard economic performance (AgFirst).
