Sally Anderson has been appointed to manage the research and development (R&D) portfolio for Summerfruit NZ. For the past nine months, Sally has been supporting Summerfruit NZ to carry out a refresh of the R&D strategy. This process has included grower consultation meetings in Hawke’s Bay and Central Otago, and a presentation of the refreshed strategy at recent SummerGreen meetings. Sally’s R&D role will be in a part-time capacity for Summerfruit NZ.
Sally works for Market Access Solutionz Ltd and is based in Wellington. Sally joined Market Access Solutionz in 2011 and manages the company’s scientific services portfolio. Sally brings an extensive science research background to the Summerfruit NZ role, with more than 10 years of research experience in environmental ecology, molecular biology, and microbial ecology. Sally applies her broad research experience into designing, managing, and implementing science research programmes on behalf of horticultural industry clients, such as citrus, and the vegetable sectors, and now for Summerfruit NZ.
