Central Otago orchard workers were able to unwind and have some fun at the Summer Sports Evenings held last week in Cromwell and Alexandra.
Organised by seasonal labour coordinator Tracey Mansfield, with support from Sport Central and Operation Cromwell, the two events attracted workers from local orchards who enjoyed a free BBQ and some social sports over each evening.
While the weather could have been more summery, Tracey said it was great to see everyone come along and enjoy a fun and well-deserved break away from the orchards and packhouses.
